Lori Lewellen joined the firm in 2023 and has litigated medical malpractice, personal injury,
wrongful death, and premises liability defense cases through trial since 2003. Ms. Lewellen is
an experienced trial attorney, handling complex litigation cases with a focus on general liability,
personal injury, medical malpractice, auto negligence and premises liability defense. She has
also defended various governmental agencies in matters related to personal injury, automobile
negligence, civil rights matters, and wrongful death. Her experience also includes representing
individual physicians and corporate entities as general counsel on a variety of transactional
and litigation matters.
Ms. Lewellen has served as the Chair of the Planning & Zoning Board for the City of Dania
Beach from 2016-2018 and she was elected as Mayor of the City of Dania Beach in 2018. She
has subsequently served as a Commissioner (2020-2022, 2024-2026), and Vice Mayor (2022-
2024) of the City of Dania Beach. Ms. Lewellen is a member of the Broward County Bar
Association and serves on the Board of the Broward County Metropolitan Planning Organization
as well as the Broward League of Cities.
