Marlene E. Gonzalez is an accomplished associate at Billing, Cochran, Lyles, Mauro, & Ramsey, P.A., specializing in defending insurance carriers and their insureds in a range of civil litigation matters. Her practice areas include a broad spectrum of civil litigation matters with an emphasis on medical malpractice, automobile negligence, premises liability, and construction defect litigation.
Ms. Gonzalez earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law, where she excelled in trial advocacy. She was an active member of the school’s distinguished trial team, competing in competitions such as the Texas Young Lawyers National Trial Competition, the Martin Luther King Civil Rights Competition, and the Quinnipiac Criminal Law Competition. Her exceptional trial skills earned her numerous individual advocacy awards and recognition in the litigation skills course, where she received both a scholarship and honors.
Prior to law school, Ms. Gonzalez received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami. During her undergraduate studies, she was a dedicated student-athlete on both the rowing and equestrian teams.
